The Florida A&M University (FAMULaw Review is accepting submissions for its Spring 2026 Symposium Edition!

The FAMU Law Review is a student-run organization at the FAMU College of Law. FAMU Law Review will host its symposium on Education Law and its impact on minority communities, exploring its intersections with broader systemic issues in policy and access. The symposium will tentatively take place on February 21, 2026. All authors who accept a publication offer should be available to travel to the FAMU College of Law campus in Orlando, FL, that weekend to present their papers.

This symposium aims to bring people from various disciplines together to discuss issues and possible solutions related to “Education Law.” Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, dismantled diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, school funding disparities, the school-to-prison pipeline, and the legal implications of segregation and desegregation efforts.

While we prefer articles focusing on the State of Florida, we are also happy to review articles discussing these issues nationally.

If you are submitting an abstract for consideration, please submit a 1000-word maximum abstract to famu.lr.ae@gmail.com by June 14, 2025. Decisions on abstracts will be made by June 28, 2025. Your final paper will be due by September 14, 2025. Articles should be between twenty and thirty pages, including footnotes, double-spaced, Times New Roman, and 12-point font. Citations should adhere to the Bluebook.

The symposium is set to take place on February 21, 2026. The FAMU Symposium Edition Law Review is scheduled to be published within several weeks after the Symposium.

The FAMU Law Review is a professional journal that publishes articles of interest to legal scholars, students, and members of the practicing Bar. If you are interested in publication in the FAMU Law Review, please submit your scholarly work via Scholastica or the email above. Our Executive Articles Editor is eager to review your submissions!

Sincerely,

Briana Napoleon
